💯 Prioritisation
Scenario → There are three features in the pipeline and we have to prioritse one
- Introducing a telemedicine feature for virtual consultations with paediatricians
- Partnering with local pharmacies to offer prescription delivery services
- Developing a personalised meal planner for children based on their age, allergies, and nutritional needs
Here's how I'll approach this prioritisation →
1. Reach:
- How many people will this initiative affect → Telemedicine and personalised meal planner features could reach a wider audience than delivery services
2. Impact:
- How significant is the initiative's potential impact? → Telemedicine could improve accessibility, while personalised meal planners might enhance both parental convenience and child health
3. Confidence:
- How confident are we in the initiative's success? → Assess each initiative's feasibility and market demand based on research and feedback
4. Effort:
- How much effort will implementing this initiative require? → Consider the development time, resource requirements, and potential challenges for each initiative
🤚🏾Pushback
Scenario - There is a request to build an AI-Powered Chatbot for Children's Health
- Quantitative approach:
- Compare the time required to build the chatbot against its potential impact, which may not be higher than current projects
- Highlight how it would disperse our development efforts from current initiatives with proven results
- Emphasise the increased cost in terms of work hours
- Qualitative approach:
- Based on our user research, we know our ideal customer profile (ICP) is not fully comfortable trusting technology
- It's risky because healthcare advice shouldn't be given solely through artificial intelligence, which could potentially create a negative perception
